This little watch has so many things going for it. A stainless steel screw back stepped case (collectors go crazy for the step), a 24-hour silver champagne dial with luminous Arabic numerals and blued steel hands filled with lume. Not to mention, it has one of the coolest seconds hands- just look at the tail!
I’ve been getting into smaller watches lately as I think they are inherently more interesting and proportionate design wise. This Wittnauer was one that caught my eye and despite its small size, its details and quality really make this a great value proposition.
Wittnauer was a brand that was owned by Longines in the 1950’s and while their factories remained different, there is bound to be a slight overlapping in DNA. Just imagine, if this dial said Longines instead of Wittnauer, it would be on a completely different level, value wise.
