To have a watch sized at 37.5mm in the 40’s is highly unusual as watches were more modestly sized back then, making the Omega Jumbo 2580/2505 something really quite special. The stainless steel case design is very underrated in my opinion, featuring long lugs that curve downwards, hugging the wrist amazingly well. The large size really works because of the design, with the gentle curvature of the case ensuring the watch doesn’t jut out awkwardly.
Of course, the magic of this watch lies in its stunning dial. Aged to a beautiful salmon tropical tone, the deep orange sunset dial contrasts with the blue’d steel hands and really makes this watch something unique. I do not think there is another similar example of this reference out there, making for not only an attractive piece, but a collectible one too.
