Hi everyone. Its been a crazy year and finally, I can say that I am very proud to have launched my website. I’ve worked very hard in making sure that the user experience and the quality of not only the watches but the design, photography and written content are up to standard and I hope that my website reflects this.
A little bit about my branding- I felt that using my name was very important as I wanted to keep things personal. In this world of watch dealing, reputation is everything and there is no better way to show that it matters to me by putting my name on the line.
While others prefer to use a company name, my goal is not to build a brand but to brand myself as a vintage watch dealer. I feel this way, it becomes much more intimate and I can say for myself, that I much prefer dealing with individuals.
I wanted to keep the design simple and let the watches do the talking. Focusing not only on sourcing rare vintage watches but also high-quality photography and detailed descriptions, everything I do from my website to my inventory is really just an extension of who I am. I only want to curate watches that I like and that I would personally wear in order to keep in line with my intention to make my website a reflection of my tastes.
I feel very lucky that I am able to do what I love and I hope to bring some interesting watches to the market. I will continue to write here and also on Bexsonn where I am a contributing editor as this is the best way to interact with the community and learn. Let’s see how this new venture goes and I appreciate all the support I’ve received!
Best,
Sean
